My name is Dianne, co-owner of Only You Salon in Biddenham. These pictures were taken of my face before and after dermal fillers were applied by Mr Eric Scholten who runs a clinic based at my salon. Over the years the lines between my eyebrows had deepened and i didn't feel happy about the change. Like many people i had genuine concerns about having treatment.
That is why my door is now open to anyone who is considering treatment and would like to have a chat prior to making a decision. I can answer all of your questions about how much it costs, whether it willhurt and how long it will last. All without having to book to see the surgeon.
Temporary skin fillers can be used to correct small defects in the skin such as fine lines and wrinkles and add volume to lips. Coarser fillers can also be used to fill deeper lines in the forehead and around the eyes and mouth, and the deep lines that develop between the nose and the corner of the mouth. All injectable fillers used in the practice are based on a natural, non-animal, clear gel that allows facial reshaping without the need for surgery.
The filler is simply injected in tiny amounts into the skin beneath the area to be treated with a very thin needle. The gel then gives natural volume and smoothes the wrinkles. The results are immediate and the effects last anywhere between 4 months to a year
The lines we know as frown lines and crow's feet are lines of facial expression. They are created by the repeated action of very specific facial muscles and the lines become more apparent over time.
When Botox is injected into a muscle, it blocks the nerve impulse from reaching that area, and as a result, the muscle weakens. As the muscle weakens, the skin overlying the muscle relaxes and the wrinkle in the skin gradually softens and often disappears. When Botox is injected there is an initial minor sting for a few seconds. Once the injection is complete, there is usually no discomfort. The procedure itself usually takes less than 10 minutes. There is no immediateresponse to the Botox injection. It takes several days for the muscle to be affected, at which time one will notice the gradual loss of ability to frown or create the lines affected by the treated muscles.
